AASLD is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing to develop and oversee the overall strategic direction of AASLD’s meetings programs and sponsorships.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing to lead marketing efforts for AASLD programs and events. AASLD headquarters is located in Alexandria, VA. This position is currently remote for the 2022 calendar year due to COVID-19, and post COVID-19 offers a hybrid telecommute schedule. Candidates in the DC Metro area are preferred to be able to attend office collaboration days. As the Senior Manager, Marketing, you will develop, execute, and analyze integrated, multi-channel marketing plans and strategies for AASLD programs, events, educational opportunities, and special initiatives. You will assist in the creation and management of budgets, as well as relationship management with vendor partners. This position is also responsible for ensuring message consistency and brand alignment across campaigns and marketing efforts.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or other related field equivalent work experience plus a minimum of four years of experience with social media marketing, communications, or public relations. This position requires experience with graphic design programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, digital marketing tools, online advertising programs, and social media management tools such as Sprout Social. We are seeking individuals with experience in paid media as well as experience managing social media accounts and creating and executing paid and organic social media campaigns.

AASLD, an association for scientists and healthcare providers in the field of liver disease located in Old Town Alexandria is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills in virtual, hybrid and in-person events.  

As the Manager, Meetings, you will manage and implement logistical aspects of the association’s conferences, governing board meetings, the signature event, The Liver Meeting®, and administer housing management. This position supports the engagement of members and other hepatology providers through rigorous scientific meetings and other offerings. Working with the Director, Meetings, the Manager will be responsible for site selection and contract negotiation and development and implementation of logistical elements for various meetings. 

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree plus and a minimum of five years non-profit or hotel meeting planning experience.  This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to work well in a team environment.  CMP certification is preferred.

The role of Manager, Membership serves as a frontline representative providing courteous, knowledgeable service to AASLD’s constituencies (members, customers, staff; etc.) and works with the Director of Membership and Marketing and other team members to support AASLD’s membership acquisition, retention, and engagement campaigns.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three year’s relative work experience working with a membership association; is highly organized with superior oral and written communication skills and is technologically proficient in the use MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat, association management databases.  Some travel is required.
